Cultivating a healthy environment is an important part of our work environment and our mission, and Martha Jefferson provides a variety of benefit options that help to meet your immediate and long-term goals.
At Martha Jefferson we partner with our employees to drive healthy outcomes and bolster employee satisfaction—at work and outside of work. Martha Jefferson's full and part time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package to include the following:
Martha Jefferson Hospital supports continual professional development and personal advancement. We equip our work environments with the latest technology. In addition, our Institute of Workplace Learning is committed to creating a workplace of life-long learning through courses offered in the following development tracks:
We also offer educational assistance to all our employees who wish to develop and enhance their skills, attain certifications or degrees, or change careers altogether. Our strong emphasis on education has not only increased quality of care and greater patient satisfaction, it has led to the development of integrated, ongoing professional development. As an example, we offer an on-site program for staff who want to continue their nursing career by training through an RN-to BSN or MSN program. Martha Jefferson Hospital partners with a variety of community colleges and universities to provide advanced training and learning opportunities for all clinical and non-clinical employees to ensure that our patients and their families receive the highest level of care.
Martha Jefferson encourages employees to continue their education because we believe that through continued development of our skills, our hospital is able to provide the best possible care. Martha Jefferson's policy and practice is to encourage and assist employees by providing educational activities as well as financial assistance through tuition reimbursement. Full-time and part-time employees are eligible for this benefit after six months of employment.
Martha Jefferson has developed a scholarship/work program to help promote educational growth combined with the goal of retaining and attracting qualified healthcare workers to meet the ongoing needs. This program is designed to provide financial assistance in return for the student agreeing to work for the hospital after graduation. The Human Resource Department is authorized to offer a number of scholarships each year, which will vary based on the needs of the Hospital and the difficulty of maintaining and/or recruiting qualified individuals. The funding of this program is determined on an annual basis.
